About Veslemøy Vangsnes
I am Veslemøy Vangsnes,
a creative artist and coach who uses my intuitive creativity to create colorful, expressive paintings. My non-figurative works open up to the viewer's own interpretation and invite reflection on emotions and human experience.
I have exhibited both in Norway and internationally, and my art is known for engaging and touching the audience.
I summarize my philosophy with the words: "I look at the canvas and life the same way, you can try again and paint over with other colors. I really believe we can find something within ourselves through art."«
As a Creative Liberation course leader, I combine my artistic vision with a deep understanding of human psychology. I show how color and challenges outside of my comfort zone can help open emotional blocks. My approach encourages participants to explore their own creativity and find personal growth.
"I find myself through art"
Alongside full-time work, art became a respite. When I paint, time and space disappear. That's when I feel most creative, and that the best result appears on the canvas. When I let go and don't think, and just let it flow through me, colors and shapes appear on the canvas. I am safe and free when I paint.
Warm colours, daily walks in nature and taking pictures are some of the things that inspire me.
The paintings are painted with acrylic and mixed media, I use several techniques, layer upon layer of paint, colors, structure and painting with my hands. This is reflected in my paintings. Light, playful and free. They are abstract and in that way the viewer can dream into their own universe.

That joy is amplified when someone is touched by what I paint.
My first solo exhibition was in 2021. After that, I have had several exhibitions abroad and a collaboration with Det Svenska Konstgalleriet and gallerist Mikaela Himmelström. More exhibitions to come.
Certified Life Coach and certified Leadership by Heart coach
I have extensive work experience in health, as an independent muscle therapist, psychiatry, in addition to school and as an administrative coordinator in a large group. I am a certified Life Coach and certified Leadership by Heart coach. All my work experience and human experience come in handy when I hold painting classes and coach. There will be a holistic approach and adaptation to each individual course and person being guided.
Now I'm living the dream - as an artist and coach full-time.
