Be the process – an intuitive painting course in the beautiful surroundings of France
 
Would you like to join in painting and playing with colors in beautiful and inspiring surroundings? Then you should read more!
 
My good colleague Hilde Gunnestad invites us down to her lovely MAISON DE LA Diversite in Laurens, Languedoc-Roussillon. Together we will cultivate creativity by playing with colors on the canvas and exploring authentic France. 
 
You say you haven't painted before? Perfect! In this course we will:
 
• Playing with colors on the canvas
• Paint without performance anxiety with the help of creative coaching techniques
• Finding joy and releasing blocked emotions with colors
 
My painting classes are intended to be low-threshold and an invitation to explore your own creativity, completely without fear of performance. Together we will learn new techniques and find inspiration. It can also be a gift to yourself that gives you lowered shoulders and a break from the many tasks of everyday life.
 
In addition to inspiring painting sessions, we will explore a local vineyard and the surrounding area of Laurens. We will also visit the historic artist town of Pèzenas. Pèzenas is the number 1 artist town and here we will wander cobbled streets that lead to alleys that are packed with small art shops, galleries, antique dealers and cafes.

This is a privately owned charming house with a lovely garden. The house has 5 bedrooms, an outdoor and indoor kitchen, two bathrooms and three toilets. There is also an inviting, heated pool. With several cozy patios, this place is set for wonderful course and holiday days. 
 
Hilde wants everyone who comes here to feel at home, that the atmosphere is spacious and that laughter can flow freely between the walls. Our goal with this gathering is to build good relationships, support each other in processes and do our utmost to get to know each and every one of you!
 
Our greatest wish is that you, as a participant, return home with new friends, a boost of inspiration and a wonderful holiday feeling in your luggage.

  • All equipment for the painting sessions
  • Board and lodging in large double or triple rooms
  • Meals at the house
  • Linens and towels (Bathrooms are equipped with hairdryers, delicious local soap and shampoo)

Additional costs: 
 
  • The flight: There are several companies that fly to Montpellier, which is the nearest airport. Upon registration, we will send you updated information about the recommended itinerary for traveling together.
 
  • On the days we eat out, we each pay separately. Luckily, we still eat out cheaply here!

I recommend painting courses with Veslemøy to anyone who wants to paint, but doesn't dare or know how to start. There is a soft approach to the art of painting and Veslemøy is a pleasant teacher who leads you on if you feel you are stuck. There is no pressure to perform, nor is there any requirement that something should come out of what we paint either. Very fun weekend!!!
